Anonymous HIV testing

The VCU HIV/AIDS Center provides free, anonymous HIV testing at a location in the Church Hill area of Richmond. At the Anonymous HIV Test Site you do not have to provide your real name or any identifying information. Days and hours vary, so you must call to make an appointment. A copy of the test results will not be given to you.

The test used at the Anonymous Test Site is Oraquick Advance test, which provides results in 20 minutes. Clients receive their results at the time of their visit. If the screening test is positive, a blood sample will be drawn and sent to the lab for final comfirmation. In that event the client is asked to return to the clinic for results. A written copy of the test results cannot be provided to you.

Teresa Terrell is the counselor at the Anonymous Test Site. Please, call her at (804) 840-8835 to make an appointment. You also may call Joy Zeh, FNP, at (804) 828-2210 for information on testing.
