Education and support

The center receives federal and state funding to provide education services for health care professionals who care for HIV positive patients and those at risk for acquiring HIV. 

In addition to education grants, the center receives funding for support services directed toward HIV positive individuals. Both the Peer Advocates Coalition of Central Virginia and the Coaching for Wellness Programs target a broad range of HIV positive individuals ranging from those newly diagnosed to those “lost to care.”
